L'oreal Dermo-Expertise Hydrafresh Anti-Shine Purifying and Mattifying Icy Toner

Hola! *virtual hugs* I was missing for a couple of days. I had to skip writing entries and I'm even behind with my K-dramas online because my eyes were hurting so badly but now with a little squinting, I think I can manage.^^

When I was looking around Crossings in Quezon Avenue, I saw this toner and it just so happened that my Neutrogena toner has run out. I got really interested in it because I've never tried anything from L'oreal's skin care line. Actually, I've only tried L'oreal's brow pencil and that's about it. ^^

According to the SA, this one is for those with oily/acne-prone skin so I was sold. ^^

First of, I don't know why but the make-up/beauty related stuff I buy from Crossings, Quezon Avenue always seem to cost less than what they usually would cost in other stores. Say this one I got for 249.00, and when I saw this at Watsons, I think it was priced at around a little over 280? The same case with that Ever Bilena lipstick I once bought.

Anyway.

The Verdict:
I love the packaging of this toner. It has always been one of my biggest problems when toner bottles don't have stoppers because I have very shaky hands and shaky hands = stuff spilling all over the floor.

It also makes the skin feel very cool. Icy cool. ^^ So it probably means that it's doing it's pore tightening magic, but no tightening feeling experienced. You'd feel that every trace of oil has been removed when you use this. ^^ At least, in my experience.

But, it didn't help much with my acne problem. Maybe it doesn't have very potent acne fighting ingredients? Then again, I have very problematic skin so this may work for others whose worry is simply oily skin. I do love, however, that it made my skin peel a little, so I know that a few of my scars got a little lighter in color.

Have you tried anything from L'oreal's skin care line? Lemme know. Cheerio!

June 2013 Hit Listers

And half of year 2013 is officially over! Which means, we're drawing closer to the holidays. Yes, I am that excited. ^^ Anyway, I owe you guys my hit list for the month of June. Actually, I owe you a few more entries. I deeply apologize. These past few days, work has been absolutely crazy that I just couldn't squeeze in blog-writing. Even blog-hopping. *sobs* But, I'll try to make it up to you. ^^

So here goes nothing! ^^

1. Twisted Candy
- I've always been a big fan of candies *duh* but I've never really had anything like the ones from Twisted Candy. They're cute, and man, do they taste absolutely good. ^^

2. Etude House Look at My Nails in PK003
- The only thing I could make out of the name is syrup. ^^ This cotton candy pink color is a  cool pastel color to wear on its own or paired with some hot pink color for French tips. ^^ Review to follow.

3. Girl Stuff Nail Polish in Avo Loco
-I was actually looking for a neon green polish but ended up with this instead. The SA said it can last for 3 weeks. Well, we'll see about that. ^^ Nonetheless, it's absolutely a gorgeous green color. I'm wearing on my tips as I type. ^^

4. Essence Fix and Matte Translucent Loose Powder
- A must-have of someone who has very oily skin! This is one amazing setting powder that has an oil control power that can last up to 5 hours. ^^

-For 85 pesos, this cream blusher is absolutely worth the hype. With a little mixing magic, this baby can give your cheeks a rosy flush and last up to 12 hours. No retouching needed. ^^

6. Purederm Strawberry Yogurt Pack
-If you're the type who loves wash-off masks, I'd definitely recommend this one. It smells so good you'd want to eat it and gives your skin a little boost and glow. ^^

7. True Match Concealer in Medium
-I found this in my mom's dresser. I didn't quite like the True Match compact foundation but I loooovee this concealer. It's True Match tag isn't a lie. This baby can do magic on 'em dark eye baggies. ^^

8. Hair Velcro from Eazy Fashion
-During times when I do make up sessions alone or with my sis, this is an absolute savior. This can hold even the shortest of baby hairs in place to keep your "face-working-area" hair-free.

9. Etude House I'm Blooming Sebum Control Mist
- By far one of my favorite skin care items! This mist can be a shoo-in for your regular moisturizer. It smells good too and can keep your face feeling refreshed. Review to follow.

10. L'oreal Hydrafresh Anti-Shine Toner
-A good toner that cleanses and makes your face feeling cool, like ice-cool. ^^ I Review to follow.

SPECIAL MENTION:

freslilo.blogspot.com
Monstar
-I've filled my list but I can't quite cross out Monstar off the list. It's my current K-drama. It only has 12 episodes (7 episodes have aired so far) but it rocks. If you liked Dream High, you'd fall in love with this. It holds a more emotional ground than Dream High, and its characters have more complicated life issues that are not exactly that far-off from real life. Plus, there's singing and beatboxing involved. ^^

So, what made your June happy? Lemme know. Cheerio! ^^

September 2012 Hit-listers

Hi. Before I go to bed, here's my top ten items for September, as I promised in my last entry. I'm hoping to make this a short entry. =)

Here's their group shot. =)

Marionnaud Dual Ended Eye Brush- I use this for doing my brows, separating my lashes, and applying gel eyeliner. So versatile

Alba Botanica Acnedote Astringent- I've mentioned here how this helped me a lot with my acne problems. It's organic and works wonders

Zen Zest Body Spray in Talc- My mom gave me this and it smells so good. It smells like baby powder. Requires constant spraying though

Tony Moly Party Lover Gel Liner - I've reviewed it here. It's my first gel liner and so far my favorite. Doesn't smudge at all

Flat Top Brush- This brush from Trinoma works best with anything-cream, liquid, or powder products

Maybelline Baby Lips in Menthol- I'm a loyal Blistex user, but this works just as well and it smells a bit better. (Given by my sister)

Etude House Silk Scarf Hair Serum - My savior from bad curly hair days. It used to be my sister's.

Loreal Kohl Contour Pencil- This was my mom's and it's just so creamy that I use it for my brows or for lining my eyes

Face Shop Face it Pure Color Lip Gloss- This used to be my mom's but when I ran out of my E.L.F. lip gloss, I asked for this. It smells so great that it's addicting

4u2 dreamGirl Lovelight BB Powder- This one in the picture is my 2nd compact. I love this powder because it lasts long on my oily skin. Reviewed here

What were your favorite items for September? Lemme know. Cheerio!
