Noconi Circle Face Brush

Hi guys. Here's another brush review. It's a brush that I picked up from Landmark on the last day of their Cosmetic Fair. I don't know what it's called exactly, but it's really like the brush I really, really want. 

Yep. It looks a little like Son Dae Sik's The Face Shop Circle Face Brush (Wanna see what it looks like? Click here for Ms. Marge of kikaytrekkie's review).
Unfortunately, that cost more than 500 bucks. This I got for around 99 bucks (10% off) since it was priced at 109 something.

When I actually found out that he was having a show at Trinoma, my heart kinda fell because I knew that I wouldn't be able to go. I've been his fan since I watched him do make-up magic every Thursday in Style Show, a Korean beauty/fashion program that used to air in TvN. He's buddy in make-up is another Korean make-up artist, Park Tae Yoon, whose picture I think I saw once in Etude House.

The Verdict:

It's a good brush to use for cream/liquid/powder foundations and powder because it's so small that it can get to the sides of your nose and under your eyes, and just the corners that your everyday brush can't reach.

My fault was that I used this first with my Maybelline Aqua Gel Foundation which dries up reeaallly fast. Since it's small, I had a bit of a hard time trying to get the foundation blend just right. But given that it doesn't leave streaks of any kind, I bet this will be great to use for BB creams or other foundations.

It's also a good powder brush if you want a near-sponge-application finish. It's also travel friendly that it can fit your make-up purse.

As for shedding and bleeding, no problem. Soft hairs? Yep. It just smelled awful when I took it out of its plastic container. Really strong chemical scent, but a little shampoo washed that off.

Although I have some problems about its size every now and then, it's still a good brush because it's versatile. But because I'm using a water-based foundation now, I think it'll be best to just use a bigger brush.

Just Sampling: The Face Shop Natural Sun Power Long-Lasting Sun Cream

Hi guys. Another sample, sampled, here. The one thing that I remember the most from all my trips to dermatologists (for my skin asthma) is that I need to use sunblock 'coz I get red-burned skin quite often. Some say that it's a reaction of the chemicals when put under sunlight. Now, I've never used sunblock, even if I was advised to, until now.

I'm already on my third packet of my The Face Shop Natural Sun Power Long-Lasting Sun Cream, and so far, I'm loving it. 

The Verdict:
It's not too much of a heavy cream nor is it too watery. I guess you can say it's like a light cream. =) It's not white in color too, it's more of a beige-y color, which finishes off as white. It's easy to blend, and blending is really needed because, like any sunblock or cream, it tends to leave that white film, which you don't want on your face. 

It smells great! It has a "super antioxidant acaiberry" so I guess the smell is a berry-smell. The best thing about it is its SPF which is SPF 45 PA+++. That's quite high in my book.

The thing I love about this is that my skin, since I've been using it, doesn't suffer from redness (or burning) anymore. I don't peel that obviously either.

The only problem is I don't know how much or how big the full-sized one is. But I saw it on pictures, and it kinda looks like a BB Cream tube..thing. *Will update you on the price when I drop by The Face Shop. It's also kinda sticky, which bothers me, but nothing a good dusting of powder can't solve.

I'm satisfied but I'm willing to try other sun creams, since most The Face Shop products are priced way beyond my capabilities. So, searching for an affordable sun cream here.

Marionnaud Dual Ended Eye Brush- I use this for doing my brows, separating my lashes, and applying gel eyeliner. So versatile

Alba Botanica Acnedote Astringent- I've mentioned here how this helped me a lot with my acne problems. It's organic and works wonders

Zen Zest Body Spray in Talc- My mom gave me this and it smells so good. It smells like baby powder. Requires constant spraying though 

Tony Moly Party Lover Gel Liner - I've reviewed it here. It's my first gel liner and so far my favorite. Doesn't smudge at all

Flat Top Brush- This brush from Trinoma works best with anything-cream, liquid, or powder products

Maybelline Baby Lips in Menthol- I'm a loyal Blistex user, but this works just as well and it smells a bit better. (Given by my sister)

Etude House Silk Scarf Hair Serum - My savior from bad curly hair days. It used to be my sister's.

Loreal Kohl Contour Pencil- This was my mom's and it's just so creamy that I use it for my brows or for lining my eyes

Face Shop Face it Pure Color Lip Gloss- This used to be my mom's but when I ran out of my E.L.F. lip gloss, I asked for this. It smells so great that it's addicting 

4u2 dreamGirl Lovelight BB Powder- This one in the picture is my 2nd compact. I love this powder because it lasts long on my oily skin. Reviewed here

Look What I Bought #3

Hi guys. I've been following To the Beautiful You on KimchiDrama these past days that I haven't gotten around on fixing the pics for this blog. Really sorry about that. Anyway, just a quick post to show you guys what I bought this weekend. Review on the beauty products to follow after thorough testing.

Actually, the only thing I bought here was the card peeking near the Kim Hyun Joong mask. It's a cardboard Club 20 VIP card that allows access/invitations to make-up events and the sort. Such as that one with Son Dae Sik in Trinoma held a couple of days ago. Too bad I purchased the card a little too late. The freebies/ samples are (5 pcs. of of each kind [essence, BB Cream, and Sun Cream], a mini box of toner and lotion, and a lemon mask) I let my sister get whatever she liked, and this is what's left for me to try.

The membership card is worth 150 Php. Worth it, considering the freebies I got. =)

I got these at Greenhills. The blue ribbon (40 Php) and my sister's crepe earrings (70 Php) are from Girl Shoppe, and the peace bracelet (50 Php) is just a random find.

I got curious with these Beauty Buffet masks because of the cute packaging. These are from Watsons, and they're 39 Php each. I've already tried the green one, and I think it works just fine.

The Face Shop Lovely ME:EX BB Cream

Hi guys. I've been using BB Creams for quite a while now and I figured maybe it's about time I did a review on the current BB cream I've been using. To be honest, my first BB cream was that from Avon, and then I started living on BB cream samples (Korean beauty shops are so generous with samples. That's why I love 'em). =) I couldn't just purchase a huge tube and you know, not like it. So after an endless battle with myself, I finally bought this. The Face Shop Lovely ME:EX BB Cream. I've been using this for a couple of months now and so far, I'm loving it.

Price: Original price is 395 Php but I got in on sale. It was priced at 350, and thanks to my mom and her 200 pesos worth of GCs. I only had to pay 150 =)

Weight: 40 ml

Pros:

1. Has a sheer finish so it doesn't give out that white cast

2. Creamy and sort of watery? so it's easy to blend

3. Smells like...flowers?

4. Cute packaging =)

5. Gives a dewy finish

6. Kinda cheap compared to other brands (it's already 40 ml)

Cons:

1. If you're looking for coverage, like medium to heavy, probably not the best BB cream to use. It has very light coverage.

2. It doesn't have much of an oil-control factor? I usually blot after 3-4 hours, even when inside an air-conditioned room

So far, it think it's a good beginner BB cream. It's actually very light but it still works. And I'm not sure if this BB cream is responsible but some of my dark spots well, turning light-ish. =) If you're still new to the whole BB cream concept, I suggest you use this BB cream.
