I Nailed It #18: Bobbie Royal Caviar Pearl Collection in Gorgeous Princess

Hey guys! I'm back with another nail-stuff discovery. My recent trip to Watsons, like always, ended with me buying a nail polish. But this one is quite different.

Caviar nails are fairly new to me. I've seen the Ciate set before and actually thought about buying it then realized I just couldn't (yet) spend over 500 bucks for nail polishes.

madamenoire.com

It was a good thing I found this at Watsons. Local brand Bobbie has recently released their own version of caviar nails set. Each set has a nail polish and a tub of micro pearls.

I chose Gorgeous Princess since I felt that the multicolored pearls would go well with any color of polish. But there are also other colors like black and white. Same goes for the nail polish. Each set also comes with a tray that's very helpful with the whole nail art thing-y. ^^ Each set retails for 99.00 Php. So here's how you do it. Or how I did it. ^^ According to the box instructions.

Put on two coats of Kohl. While it's still wet, pour the micro pearls with your nail in the area of the tray with the "mini-pathway" so as to let you put back the excess pearls for later use. Put on some of your favorite top coat and let dry for about 15-20 minutes. It does take a while because the pearls still keep on moving.

Here's my finished work. It looks totally cool but, on me, the pearls started falling off the next day. Maybe a better top coat could have done the trick.

Anyways, you can find this set at Watsons so make sure to check it out. Cheerio!

I Nailed It #8: All that Glitters

Hi guys! I know, the title is not very original. I hope you can let this one pass. ^^ Watching K-dramas and Korean shows has been influential to the way I see nail art. Most Hallyu stars, at least those that I get to watch and read about, take nail art very seriously. I mean, we're talking Firmos and gems the size of your normal earrings glued to their nails! Although I am yet to glue huge bows on my nails, I've loved nail color gradation, colored French tips, and now, accented nails (I honestly don't know what it's called).

Yoon Eun Hye (Joy/Lee Soo Yeon/Zoe of I Miss You/Missing You; Coffee Prince, Goong/Princess Hours) didn't just under the limelight, yet again, hot pink lips and coral lips with her melodramatic character in I Miss You. She also had these nail art designs throughout the series that are so cute. Think: royal blue French tips and nails with accents.

I really love Twinkle's nail polishes. They're so small and affordable (less than 15 pesos a bottle. 12-ish)  so you'd definitely get to empty the bottles out before the product dries up. Yoon Eun Hye's nail art are definitely more dramatic and detailed but I figured this could work too. Plus, I don't have to suffer from trying to get the glitter polish off of every single nail. Just one nail. ^^

What I have on is three thin layers of Mud on each nail except the point finger, which has one. And four layers of Glitter Gold. Glitter Gold doesn't have a lot of glitter chunks so I really had to layer to get this intense glitter-y look. The layer of Mud underneath the glitter makes it...cohesive...with the rest. ^^

A little tip I learned from Buzzfeed: Get a cotton ball, divide it into five, soak each in acetone and put it on your nails. Within a few seconds, the nail polish comes right off. No excessive rubbing needed. Of course, it still depends on how many layers of polish you put on. The thicker the polish, the harder it is to remove, especially glitter-y ones. ^^

Have you tried this nail art trend? How do you like it? Lemme know. Cheerio!

I Nailed It #6: Bobbie Cocktail Hour Gradation Nail Polish in Cool Blue Martini

Hi. Just a quick post here on what I wore on my nails last week. ^^

Since I learned how to maximize the use of cosmetic sponges by doing nail art, I've been doing gradated nails twice a week. I constantly swap colors because my polish easily chips. And although I enjoy doing my own combinations, I was hoping to own a gradation set that's foolproof.

Etude House was the first one I saw that released a nail gradation set which retailed for around 300 bucks. Since I wasn't ready to cough up that much cash on nail polishes, I was always on the search for a good yet affordable set. That's when I saw Bobbie's Cocktail Hour Gradation Nail Polish. When I saw this in Trinoma, there were only two colors left, this Blue Martini one and a pink one. Apparently, there was also a green one. This is a limited edition set, by the way.

Each box has three 4 ml bottles, which are pretty small and reminiscent of the Mwah polishes I used to own. Each box costs 79.00

The bottles are numbered and labeled as Shaker 1, Twist 2, and Garnish 3. Let me tell you though that I found the directions at the back a little off so this is my own way of doing the gradated nails.

So, first off, apply the Twist 1 all over your nails. Twist 1 is a frosted light blue polish.

After the first layer dries up, coat the top half of your nails with Shaker 2, which is a frosted sky blue color with glitter chunks.

Finally, apply Garnish 3 (a clear polish with chunky royal blue glitters) on the tip, kinda like doing some sort of a rustic french tip. ^^

After all the layers dry up, put on some of your favorite top coat.

Well, what can I say? This is a life-saver for nail art addicts like me. It's actually great that a local brand like Bobbie is coming up with awesome sets like this. I think they also have the magnetic polish set which I've yet to try. But, just like any other glitter polishes, removing this is painful. ^^ I read somewhere though that you can soak your nails in some nail polish remover but that would mean emptying out a bottle of nail polish remover, which is not allowed here at home. *haha*

Anyway, if you want to wear some party bling on your nails, grab a box of this Bobbie Gradation Nail set while you can!

Cheerio!

January 2013 Hit Listers

Hi guys. This post is another long overdue post. But I'll make this short and sweet. Promise. =) Btw, Happy Hearts Day!

 1. Nail Art Tools
- These dotting tools were given to me by my mom. Awesome equipment for nail art! I said my goodbyes to the trusty toothpick

 2. Grab Multipurpose Kit
-I don't know exactly what it's called, but I mainly use it for my most-used make-up stuff. I hang it near the mirror for easy access in the morning. Plus, it doubles as a travel kit. Given by my mom too.
 3.Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint
- I did a review on this one a long time ago, but this one is in a new packaging and fairly different from the first, so I'm doing a brand new review. Given by my sis.

4.Marks and Spencer Autograph Inspire Perfume
- I love musky, woody scents and this is just perfect, and it stays on for a whole day. Given by my aunt.

5. LA Colors Color Craze in Transformer
- Cool red color. "Jelly"- finish and long wearing. Read my review here.

6. Sylvia Santos Tan Backpack
-I've always been into backpacks but now, I need those that aren't too bulky for everyday use and this works so well. Given by my mom.

7. Chewy Junior
-I've probably tasted every cream puff known to man (I exaggerate) but Chewy Junior will always be the best. Chewy, tasty, chocolate-y. =) I'll do a review really soon.

8. Rooftop Prince
- When I read about Rooftop Prince in dramabeans long before it was aired locally, I was driven away by Yoochun's ridiculously long hair that I figured the series was no good. I was most definitely wrong. Cool plot, awesome cast, and....omurice. =)

9. Dramabeans
- Ever since Hallyu and Kpop took over most of my time, Dramabeans has always been there. Recaps, news, what's hot in Korean TV. Everything I need for a daily dose of, well, Korean TV. Thanks to javabeans, girlfriday, and all the awesome writers. Visit their site here.

10. Dramacrazy.net
- When I'm in the middle of fangirling, I need to watch my K-dramas right after the episodes air and get subbed in Korea, and this is my go-to website. This and KimchiDramas, which I could no longer find. =(

Hope ya'll had a great day! Cheerio!

I Nailed It #4: LA Colors Color Craze in Transformer

Hi guys. Sorry for missing out on a couple of days. I'm in the middle of switching jobs, so a lot of things are needed, and they've been taking most of my time.

Anyways. Here's my new red polish. I just wanted to share this with you because the color looks so exquisite and expensive. I love red nail polish more than anything because I like the way it looks on my nails. I have a couple of red shades in tow and this is a new color.

I've seen this line of nail polish from LA Colors before. Their container reminds me of O.P.I.'s bottle, which is worth a few more bucks. Transformer is sort of a wine red color which looks like a deeper red when put on. A good two coats will give you a shade closest to the color in the bottle. I don't know how to describe the finish, but it's definitely not matte nor is it shimmery. The brush is also a little wider than most nail polishes I've used which made application easier.

This is my first LA Colors nail polish, and definitely not my last. Each bottle costs 89.00

Have a great weekend! Cheerio!

Look What I Bought #1

Hi guys. Just a quick post here to show you what I bought last week. It was my very first time to try online shopping, and I must say, maybe I should try not to get too excited 'cause I'll definitely end up spending way too much. Anyway, here's a quick view of the things I got

The Saem Ally's Ajell Mousse BB Cream (245 bucks plus 50 for the sf) and the Tony Moly Party Lover Gel Eyeliner (195 bucks) I got from Ms. Charmaine of Kkochipida (check her Multiply account here and her Facebook account here) I actually got to meet her because of the Tony Moly Gel liner. She just happened to be near our area (Trinoma), so it was a great opportunity. She's very lovely, and she's very nice. The transactions I made were a breeze. The mouse BB got delivered about two days after I made the payment. Plus, her products are very affordable and most products have prices that are way lower than what we have here. So, if you're into Korean cosmetics like me, check her site out. =)

Anyhow, the Ever Bilena Eyebrow pencil (50 pesos) and the fruit nail decorations (29.75) were from Landmark, but my mom paid for them. Funny what "pleading eyes" can do. =)

I decided not to take pictures of the pair of pants and belt that I got from For Me. They were both on super sale. The pants were priced at 998 but I got them for 298 and the belt was at 298 but I got it for 88. I just got lucky. =)

I promise to do reviews on these products as soon as I get the chance. What about you, any hauls? Cheerio!
