I Nailed It #21: You are My Sunkissed Candy

Hey guys! I'm quite enjoying the whole neon nails thing and so my nails ended up with neon gradated tips during the start of the new year.

I bought this from Etude House just because I fell in love with its striking neon orange color. I thought it would be a perfect shade to try out with my neon nails experiment.

The shade is #59 You are My Sunkissed Candy. Each "Play Nail" bottle costs Php 128.00. It's a pretty big bottle so use it well. ^^

The Verdict:
The color payoff is great. It's opaque so a layer would do and you'd get the color that you see in the bottle. It's a bright neon orange that actually reminds me of orange Popsicles. But, this polish is pretty pricey given that there might be other polishes of the same color with a much lower price tag. Also, the brush bristles are a little stiff that it causes the polish to transfer on your nails and streak a bit so you just have to be a little careful about that.

This new line of nail polishes in Etude House has some pretty colors. My mom actually has one in an old rose shade. I'm planning to check out the other colors after my wallet and I have "the talk".

Anyway, Happy New Year guys. Cheerio!

I Nailed It # 17: Bobbie Kaleidoscope Nail Polish in Lemon Souffle

Hi. ^^ Yes, it is another nail polish-related entry. ^^ I've been buying too many nail polishes lately. This one caught my attention because it was so colorful and unique that I figured I should try it out. ^^

I actually thought it was some sort of mood polish but as I went to try it out, I found out that the color changes depending on the temperature. ^^

The Verdict:
This is actually a very cool polish. When you put it on, the color is sort of a greenish lemon color. It stays that way under room temperature. When inside a freezer a very cold air conditioned room, the color changes into a greenish blue color. I wasn't able to achieve the blue color though. Maybe when you dip your fingernails in a cup of ice? ^^

It's nice to see my nail color changing when I go out of the office and when I'm inside. However, this polish is a little expensive. A 12 ml bottle retails for 79.75 Php. Still, I think it would be fun to try the other colors.

Have you tried this nail polish? Lemme know. Cheerio! ^^

I Nailed It #16: OMG in Matte Potion

Hey guys! The reviews for most of my nail polishes have been on hold for quite some time. Now, I'm trying to at least put out some of the reviews.  ^^

When matte lippies became a craze in my world, I started trying to get my hands on every shade I could think of. ^^ They weren't the friendliest for my lips but they looked awesome. So when matte polishes came into the market, I jumped into the "matte nails" bandwagon as well. But since I found the matte polishes to be a little expensive, I tried my luck with matte top coats. ^^

This one from OMG is my first. A 10 ml bottle costs around 18.00 Php.

OMG in Salsa without OMG Matte Potion

OMG in Salsa with OMG in Matte Potion

The Verdict:
What I have on is two coats of Matte Potion. It's effect on the nails is not as flat-matte as I wanted it to be but it does work. With a third coat, it becomes even more matte but still gives away a little shine. What I also noticed was it works differently on different polishes. I used a teal color once and the effect was the perfect matte nails.

For the price, I'd say it's worth trying. The great thing about it is that you can explore other nail colors without splurging so much because you can just use any of your available plain polish and top it off with Matte Potion.

I'd probably still try the matte polishes available in the market but for now, this will do. ^^

Have you tried donning matte nails? How'd you like 'em? Lemme know. Cheerio!

I Nailed It #12: Girl Stuff Nail Polish in Avo Loco

Hello! Time for another nail polish entry! ^^ Lately, it has been my goal to paint my nails with pretty colors or do nail art, mainly because my hands have a lot of paper cuts (comes with my job *haha*) So I figured why not have pretty nails instead of dwelling on how hideous my hands look with all the BandAids. ^^

Anyway, during SM North Edsa's Mid-year sale, I picked up this pretty green color nail polish from Girl Stuff. I was actually looking for a neon green nail polish but this one is the closest they have. It's not exactly neon but it looks great. ^^

Their bag/packaging is too cute so I didn't have the heart to throw it out. ^^ A bottle of Girl Stuff Nail Polish is regularly priced at 100.00 a bottle. But since I got mine during the sale, 10% was slashed off.

It's actually a pretty big bottle and it's free from the big three stuff that are said to be the common toxic substances found in nail polish so a big "yey" for that. ^^

It's not actually a color that reminds  me of avocados. It actually reminds me of green apples. What I have on is two coats. The finish is just like those of regular polish. "Lasting power" on nails is pretty much the same with regular polishes. On me, that would mean two days then it starts chipping. ^^

I actually like the color of Avo Loco and the I didn't experience streaking while applying the polish. Love the shape of the bottle too.

A hundred bucks is pretty steep for a nail polish but considering that it's almost free from toxic substances, I'd say it's somewhat worth it.

Girl Stuff actually has a few more colors I want to try, and their washable polish too. ^^

You can find Girl Stuff at the 2nd floor of SM North Edsa, Main Building.

Cheerio!

I Nailed It #11: Etude House Look at My Nails in Strawberry Milk Syrup

Hey! Here's a quick look/review on an Etude House nail polish. We picked this up when we were trying to get the ice cream loofah freebie and we were short by 60 bucks. ^^

They only had a few colors of the Look at My Nails Polish and since my sis wanted something pastel in color. So we got this cotton candy pink color.

This one is in ttalgi uyu syrup or strawberry milk syrup. Now that I know what it translates to, it actually does seem like a thick nail polish version of strawberry milk.

A bottle costs 78.00. A bit on the pricier side of polishes.

Etude House really comes up with such awesome packaging. ^^

While I'm not so much of a pastel person, much less a pink person, I actually find this color rather pleasing to the eyes. You know how some shades of pink are distracting-ly a little too pink? This one's actually sort of muted, so it can easily pass as some sort of neutral shade. ^^

And the brush of this polish is actually wide that you'd have no trouble in application. The finish is some sort of gel-ish finish.

The Look at My Nails line actually has a lot of pastel and soft colors. If Etude House would restock the shades, I'd definitely be picking up a few more colors.

Cheerio!

I Nailed It #7: Jocarste Nail Polish in A61

Howdy! It seems like the rainy season is peeking in. ^^ Make sure to gear up.^^

Lately, as much as possible, I try not to indulge in buying nail polishes because aside from the top coat, reds, and neutral-colored polishes, I can't seem to empty polishes out before they dry up.

I always see the Jocarste polishes whenever I'm in the beauty section of SM or Trinoma. I never really took the time to try them out until I saw this color. Jocarste actually has a lot of shades that I'd love to try. (Too bad the back information doesn't make any sense ^^)

The shade is called A61. The camera can't really show the color well but off-cam, it looks like a bubblegum peach shade, which anyone can rock. The color makes your nails look like they're freshly manicured even if they're not. I find myself reaching for this shade very often.

Each bottle costs 39.00. I love its gel finish but I wish it didn't smell too much like paint. This looks good as a base for a royal blue tipped-nails. ^^

You can find the Jocarste nail polishes in the Shawill makeup area.

What nail color are you wearing today? Lemme know. Cheerio!

I Nailed It #5: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

Hi. Okay, the title is kinda lame. ^^ haha. Well, it was the only title I could think of since this nail color's yellow and the brand is twinkle so I had to tie both ends together and came with, well, a nursery rhyme.

This has been hanging out in my drafts bin for a while. I guess I just kept on missing it.
Twinkle is actually one of our favorite nail polish brands. By "our" I mean me, my mom, and sis. It's just a small bottle so there's no much worry on having a lot of polish going to waste when it dries up.

I grabbed this color the moment I saw it because I was looking for something neutral-looking yet fun. So tans are out. This one's called Mocha Malt, which is a light mustard color. A bottle of twinkle nail polish costs 17.75 and has about 5ml of product. I wear this color whenever I want my nail color to be a little toned down, like during events and such.

Their polishes are actually very good. They don't streak like other polishes I've tried. My nails here are wearing three coatings. I can't vouch for longetivity though because all nail polishes, except glittery ones, last on my nails for three days tops.

I have another Twinkle polish which is a cross of plum and hot pink which I will do a review on very soon. Twinkle polishes are available at some grocery stores, SM department stores, and Watsons.

Ever tried a Twinkle polish? Lemme know. Cheerio!

Hi guys. This post is another long overdue post. But I'll make this short and sweet. Promise. =) Btw, Happy Hearts Day!

 3.Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint
- I did a review on this one a long time ago, but this one is in a new packaging and fairly different from the first, so I'm doing a brand new review. Given by my sis.

4.Marks and Spencer Autograph Inspire Perfume

8. Rooftop Prince
- When I read about Rooftop Prince in dramabeans long before it was aired locally, I was driven away by Yoochun's ridiculously long hair that I figured the series was no good. I was most definitely wrong. Cool plot, awesome cast, and....omurice. =)

9. Dramabeans
- Ever since Hallyu and Kpop took over most of my time, Dramabeans has always been there. Recaps, news, what's hot in Korean TV. Everything I need for a daily dose of, well, Korean TV. Thanks to javabeans, girlfriday, and all the awesome writers. Visit their site here.

10. Dramacrazy.net
- When I'm in the middle of fangirling, I need to watch my K-dramas right after the episodes air and get subbed in Korea, and this is my go-to website. This and KimchiDramas, which I could no longer find. =(

Hope ya'll had a great day! Cheerio!

I Nailed It #4: LA Colors Color Craze in Transformer

Hi guys. Sorry for missing out on a couple of days. I'm in the middle of switching jobs, so a lot of things are needed, and they've been taking most of my time.

Anyways. Here's my new red polish. I just wanted to share this with you because the color looks so exquisite and expensive. I love red nail polish more than anything because I like the way it looks on my nails. I have a couple of red shades in tow and this is a new color.

I've seen this line of nail polish from LA Colors before. Their container reminds me of O.P.I.'s bottle, which is worth a few more bucks. Transformer is sort of a wine red color which looks like a deeper red when put on. A good two coats will give you a shade closest to the color in the bottle. I don't know how to describe the finish, but it's definitely not matte nor is it shimmery. The brush is also a little wider than most nail polishes I've used which made application easier.

This is my first LA Colors nail polish, and definitely not my last. Each bottle costs 89.00

Have a great weekend! Cheerio!

I Nailed It #3: Early Christmas Nails

Hi guys. So, yesterday, I went back for these awesome nail polishes called Crystal Sand Nail Polish of OMG. You may have (or have not) noticed that I usually come back for stuff that I want to buy, no matter the price. It just gives me time to think about whether I really want, or really need, it.

I didn't actually plan on doing Christmas-y colored nails, but it just so happened that I picked up colors that are, well, Christmas-y. I actually came back for the deep purple colored one but it was gone. =(

Each bottle costs 18.75 but since Landmark is having their Cosmetics Sale until October 31st, I got each for 10% off. The other color is called Emerald, and I kinda perked up when I saw this was named Citrine which totally reminded me of Helen's blog, Lucky Citrine.

So here's what they look like. Two coats of each anyways. It feels rough, I mean really sand-rough because of all the little glitters packed up together. I tried to remove it and I ended up with glittered hands. Yes, hands, not just fingers. It's really hard to remove.

If you're planning to buy this, might I suggest using a really good top coat? It chips off easily, at least on my nails.

I guess that's it. =) Happy weekend guys. Cheerio!
