Banila Co. Color Change Tint in Poppy Rose

Hey guys! Happy Chinese New Year! ^^ It's been a while since I posted a makeup review. I bought this lip tint late last year. I think it was around my birthday. I wanted to try a product from a different Korean brand. My go-to store? Well, it's more of an online shop, Kkochipida. Ms. Charm of Kkochipida carries such a variety of Korean cosmetics at very good prices so I always make sure to check out her website. ^^

I bought the Banila Co. Color Change Tint in Poppy Rose. It looked very cool and a color-changing tint is always awesome.

 

Pros:
1. Very cute packaging. I don't usually see big tube packaging for tints. ^^
2. Good color pigmentation.
3. Beautiful plum-ish color that turns a little pinkish
4. There are other colors to choose from

Cons:
1. Sticky consistency. It's more like a gloss than a tint.
2. Doesn't leave much of a stain
3. A little pricey at 295.00 Php and not locally available (unless you consider online shops)

I like the color of this tint but I wish it had more of a liquid consistency like most tints I've used, so it could also double as a blusher. It requires constant reapplication but it is a good tint.

New Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint in Peach

Hi. I'm doing another lip tint review for today. I guess by now you already figured how much I love tints. Mainly because I'm not much of a fan of constant re-applying.

Anyways, this Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint in Peach is one of my very first purchases from Etude, and of the first things I reviewed (check original review here). My old one is almost empty so I requested a new one from my sister, stressing out that I wanted the one with the new packaging. *haha* for comparison purposes of course. I got this last Christmas. This lip tint has got to be my ultimate favorite. I haven't risked using it on my cheeks though because the color develops when it dries. =)

The one on the left is the new one and the one on the right is the old one. I think the new one has a prettier look. =) The new one has also more product. Just a little more. Price is still the same. A bottle costs 328. It's also available in Hot Pink, Baby Pink, and Red (at least that's how I remember it) =)

The Verdict:

When I did my review last year, I could've sworn that what my tint had a more pinkish hue to it, but compared to the new one, it actually looks more of a peach color. The one on the left side is the old one and on the right, the new one. The milky consistency is still the same, but no more tingly sensation when applied. 
It smells better too. The new one smells like Jellyace. =) I'm not sure if it's just me though but I feel like it's staying power just shortened quite a bit. The only thing that drove my disappointment would probably be the color. I figured that it would have the same peachy-pink shade but it's more of a pink now. But it's not actually too bad. It actually gives my lips a natural looking rose shade which is cool and all.

Having said all that, I think the new one is about a few points better. But I wished they made the color more peach-y. Nonetheless, it's still my absolute favorite.

Just Sampling: Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint in Pink

Hi guys. Lately, I haven't been sampling a lot of products. I've been put into a couple of weeks of a bit of a skin therapy by my mom (so no much makeup) because I've developed some rashes from who-knows-where. So, Cetaphil is my best friend nowadays.

My sister gave me this to sample instead. She bought this from online seller Cheeky Posh who sells a lot of Korean cosmetic samples for those who, you know, just wanna try out some products first before buying the full size. I have this in peach (reviewed here).

This has actually two pieces for (my sister's not sure) 20 or 25 pesos. The other one was red, which was very red. A pack is bound to last for about 5 days.

 The Verdict:
It's not so different from my peach one. The milky consistency is the same. It's long lasting and easy to apply. You wouldn't have a hard time making sure it's evenly distributed because  it doesn't stick on your lips fast.

It gives off a light pink color when you put on a little but it can also give you a gorgeous deep rose shade if you put on about two layers. It can last the whole day, and that's against chips and drinks too.

The only thing I don't like about it is that it stings a little the first time you apply it. I still don't know why. And, I got to try the red sample and decided to transfer it on a container. It still had one good use which went to waste because it dried up. I don't know what happened but if you will buy this in sample packets, might as well keep it in the packet.

I love my peach one a lot but I'm willing to give this one in full size a whirl.

Ever Bilena Lip Colour Xtreme Shine in 708

Hi guys. I was actually planning to write this entry last night, but I didn't expect my aunt's party to last all night. So by the time I got home, hello bed! And, I think I'm coming down with something.


Anyway, I wore this Ever Bilena Lip Colour Xtreme Shine in 708 last night. I just bought it because I wanted to have a hot pink lippie. I'm more of a coral-peach-orange fan, so this baby is new in my collection. I was actually planning to buy the Cotton Candy one from Careline, but I figured I should grab this one first.


So, here's what I think about it

Pros:

1. Very creamy so it glides on smoothly

2. Very pigmented

3. Doesn't dry my lips

4. Affordable at 75 bucks. Although I think it was on sale but still

5. Doesn't "magnify" my lip lines

Cons:

1. As most lipsticks are, it doesn't stay long unless you take some extra steps. A little rub on your lips can remove the lipstick

2. It has a faint smell. Kinda perfume-y which may throw other people off

BEAUTY TRICK: As I've mentioned, I used this lipstick last night on my aunt's birthday party. It was in a hotel so the hot pink color wasn't much of an overkill. =) anyway. As I said, this is just one of your run-of-the-mill lipsticks, but what I did, and what I do, is I put on a lip tint first (I used Etude House's Fresh Cherry Tint in Peach), swiped this 708, then mixed some of the lip tint and this lipstick at the back of my hand and put it over. Then I dusted my lips with some loose powder. It did the trick of staying until dessert. Yes, it survived until the chocolate pudding. 

This thing I do when putting on lipstick, unfortunately for now, I have made only to work with dark colored lipstick or at least those darker than most lip tints are. Since you're going to mix them, and surely you don't want the color of your lipstick to change, it works, for now, only with reds, dark orange, or dark pink lipsticks like these. I have yet to discover how to make it work with pale or nude-ish ones.

Plus, it makes your lipstick kinda turn matte, so the risk of transferring your lipstick to the glass of wine or whatever is zilch. Anyway, I like this lipstick. it's blue undertone also helps because it kinda intensifies the color a bit.

Etude House Apricot Stick in #5

Hi guys. Rainy day huh? I was taking some pictures for this blog and decided to put up an entry before I meet up with my sister to rent some CDs. What better way to spend a rainy day than to watch movies right? Anyway, I've had this Etude House Apricot Stick in #5  for quite a while now. I did a haul in Etude a few months back and this was one of my purchases.

Price: 198 Php

No idea about the weight of the product though

I actually grabbed this for its coral color. And my sister and I were arguing if the color said "talcum banana" or "dalkom banana" But I can assure you that the word banana is there. =)


Pros: 
1. Natural looking coral color which I love
2. Glides on smoothly
3. Neat container. Highly unusual, at least for me, for lip products
4. Doesn't dry my lips (not that it's not already dry, well it didn't make it worse)


Cons:
1. As you can see, the name is almost gone. Well, it's hardly readable anymore
2. I don't know if mine's defective but you can't, how'd you say, take the product down? Once you kind-of twist it up, it won't go back down. Oh..darn.. haha.. you know what I mean. =)
3. It sinks into the line of my lips, making them very visible. That's why I use this right after I put on lip balm or a nude-ish lipstick. But alone? Never tried it again.


It's a kinda neat tinted balm but I wouldn't recommend it if your lips can get very dry and flaky like mine. Or you could use a lip balm or lip scrub first.

Etude House Dear Darling Tint in Red Orange #3

Hi. I guess it's best to tell you now that I swear by lip tints/stains since, compared to lipsticks and the like, they have a longer staying-power. Plus, they work well as blushers too.

My quest for a good orange lip tint led me to Etude House (again) and since my Pink membership card was screaming for a good swipe, I decided to try their Dear Darling TInt #3 Red Orange. And it was worth it! =)

Price: 198 Php

Colors: This one i #3 Red Orange. I've seen the Red one, but I'm not sure which number it is

Applicator: Doe-foot

Swatch and what it looks like on my sister's lips

Pros:

1. Color stays on for a long time.

2. Highly pigmented, a single application gives the lips a cool orangey-tint

3. Smells like candy =)

4. I like that it has a gel consistency and not completely liquid. I do use this as a blusher sometimes and it helps that it's not too runny.

5. Applicator is soft. =)

Cons:

1. I don't know if it's just the one that I got, but I find the applicator a little to slim but I'll survive. =)

2. I like the smell of candy, however I wouldn't recommend this to those who are  not scented-lippies crazy. The smell stays a little while.

No real disappointments here. Just a few childish comments. =) All in all, the lip tint is a keeper. And the price is quite reasonable for its size. Looking forward to trying the other colors.

Etude House: Fresh Cherry Tint #3 (Peach)

Hi. I've decided to start every entry with a "Hi" so that I'd feel more at ease writing, well, typing. =) My next review is with a product which has been with me for quite a while. It's Etude House's Fresh Cherry Tint #3 (Peach). One of the few products I've purchased when I was in my orange/peach color palette phase in cosmetics.

Price: 328 Php

Colors: Peach, Red, Pink

Applicator: Doe foot

Net Wt.: 9.5 g

Swatch and what it looks like on my lips (So sorry for my high-end pictures. Kidding. My photography skills are really bad. =))

Pros:

1. Color stays for a really long time. One of the best tints I've used. Even against all drinks and snacks. =) When I use it in school (my classes go for about 6-9 hours, tops), it really stays on.

2. It smells nice. Not really a cherry scent. Kinda has a fruity/floral scent going on.

3. The color looks natural. This peach one is more of a coral pink more than a peachy orange color so it looks like your lips are just newly scrubbed with that peachy pink glow.

4. The milky consistency, which is unlike other tints, is actually quite nice. It gives a soft feeling to the lips (does that make sense?)

Cons:

1. It stings, for about 2 seconds when you first apply it. I don't know why. I doesn't really hurt, it's more of a tickle.

2. I was actually a bit disappointed when I first tried it on because I was expecting more of an orange-y color and it gave more of a pink undertone (see the color of the applicator) But no worries. =)

3. Some people aren't about scented cosmetics so if you're not a big fan of tints with a faint smell of fruits and flowers, I wouldn't recommend buying this.

4. A bit pricey for a tint but since I've been using it for quite a while, I guess it's worth it.

I haven't really tried it as a cheek tint since it develops color after you apply it and I was too scared that it'll give me clownish cheeks. But I guess you could try. Since it's a bit light, you could try putting on more layers of the tint to have a stronger peach-pink color and it'll stay a bit longer.
